“I love to make people successful by creating content for them using a combination of words and photography, a goal I don’t take lightly and adhere to for each shoot with full commitment in achieving a positive, enlivening result.  I find my subjects a joy to work with! AZV Photo Media involves all areas of photography: events that include weddings, corporate, commercial, academia, families, teens, children, performing artists, athletes, and corporate business portraits. Many of my subjects that were complete strangers to me have become some of my dearest friends. I strongly feel that all photographers must be very sensitive to the needs of their clients. The camera is magic because it can accomplish great things far beyond the photograph itself. Photographers can empower a teen to believe they are beautiful and capable, can support business clients to feel confident in their quest to go far. A good photo archives the most precious moments in a couple’s life as they marry with all friends and family present. Being quick at the camera shutter has enabled me to highlight an athlete’s powerful talent preserved from a brief moment in time.  The long lens is able to capture a dancer’s art form and a skater’s highest jumps. Through photography, actors see their work on stage from an exciting, fresh perspective where the emotions they express become clarified and pure in vision. My goal in all this is to show people how awesome their special talent truly is and to preserve the happiest moments in their lives to relive over and over again. The camera is magic in that way. I have been able to share that enchantment with even the most staid and serious of my corporate clients, seasoned performing artists and children just starting off in life.”

All About Anna

Anna has long worked with teams of renowned journalists and photographers worldwide on expeditions from Pole-to-Pole and traveled at sea on small eco-tourism ships to warm water destinations throughout the Pacific and Indian Oceans.  She’s voyaged on the icebreakers that pioneered the first tourism endeavors to the North Pole, later taking part in leading 12 more journeys as an expedition coordinator. Anna has been to Antarctica 15 times and visited some of the most remote regions of the coast and sub-Antarctic islands. Her teams coordinated adventure travel eco-tourism to remote locations, including the Amazon, Antarctica, Africa, The Northeast Passage, Northwest Passage transit, Polynesia, Indonesia, Melanesia, New Zealand, The North Pole and Australia. Anna first learned how to handle a camera while shooting commercial images for tourism companies of landscapes, wildlife and transportation vessels. Her work included promotional and illustrative photography for brochures, magazines, and sales promotions.  Anna attributes her knowledge of photography to her work in the field. Educated at Princeton University then pursuing her Masters in Polar Science at Cambridge University Darwin College gave Anna a unique perspective on how to write for a variety of audiences. In terms of handling her Nikon, Anna often says that her best teachers were National Geographic photographers and photojournalists from all over the world who accompanied her on voyages that she led.

After 15 years at sea, Anna decided to stay home to raise three children who are now grown. They often join her photographic team in the field or at the computer in post production. She appreciates their youthful fresh eye as they bring their knowledge of modern technology to the business with professionalism.
